To Wellesbourne - but it should have been Ebrington
The Captain had pored over the OS map for several minutes and planned a route via Ilmngton and Paxford to lunch at Ebrington, with options for the homeward ride ... but the consensus in view of the temperature and possibility of icy lanes was for a short blast to Wellesbourne and back.

To... planned to be Feckenham for lunch Heavy rain convinced the Captain that riding would not be much fun . . . he waited (in the car) at the start until 0930 but no other riders appeared. A subsequent telephone call revealed that 3 hardy souls turned up, LATE! Captain of the day: Rob (non-riding) Jenni - substitute leader for a short ride.

Weather : Dull for most of the day, following heavy rain the previous day which left surface water (flooding) on parts of the routes
Riders: Approx. 300 Mileage: 10, 25, 50 or 63 mile options Highlights: Lots of money raised for Macmillan - see the MacRide website for photographs and MacRide jerseys. Refreshments: Great Alne Village Hall provided the usual array of cakes, muffins and other excellent food. To Steve & Nina's garden opening at HoneybourneAn extra ride on the calendar (actually the 4th Sunday) to visit a garden open under the National Gardens Scheme Captain of the day: Rob - riding a fixed wheel bike. Weather : Mixed - sunshine and showers
Riders: 7 starters on bikes, 7 finishers - a further 2 that cycled separately and 4 motoring to Honeybourne Mileage: approx. 20 miles in total - pleasantly flat along The Greenway and the lanes from Long Marston to Pebworth Highlights: The two fascinatingly different gardens - obviously! Steve and Nina's hard work in the garden and opening it all up for charity. Yet more of Steve's quirky features! Refreshments: Tea and excellent cake, all included in the modest admission cost.
